Bronx Moves Come With Building Rules

Elevator reservations, certificate of insurance requests and street parking all shape a Bronx move. Plan for them before moving day, and ask for your estimate in writing.

  • A certificate of insurance (COI) is required for access in many buildings, so ask for it early
  • Elevator reservations in Bronx high-rises must be booked in advance, and a missed window delays your whole move
  • Stair carry and long carry fees can be added at delivery by some movers, so ask what your estimate includes
  • Parking distance and traffic add time on moving day, so plan the truck location ahead

Frequently Asked Questions About Local Moving in the Bronx

Cost depends on home size, distance, stairs, packing and date. Get a free written estimate. Call (917) 905-7576 and tell us the floor, elevator access and distance.

Time depends on home size, floor, elevator access, how much is already packed and the distance between buildings. Describe your building to the mover and ask how they plan the day.

Check the mover's registration on the official state and federal lookups, read recent Google reviews, ask for a written quote, and ask how insurance and damage claims work. A legitimate company answers the phone and puts the estimate in writing.

Get several written quotes, verify licensing, read recent reviews, confirm flat fee or binding estimate, and check for hidden fees (stairs, long carry, fuel). Avoid companies that only take cash or demand large deposits.
